Ellie Johnson gets a taste of honey right out of the bee yard. It doesn’t get any better than that.

 

Here Ellie is up close with the bees. She examines the hive while the camera man from IPTV captures the busy bees on film. The filming was being done for the Polk County Conservation Board.

This is just one more example of the story of honey bees being passed from one generation to the next. No matter what generation you might be from, its always a good time to check out one of the many beekeeping classes offered in Iowa throughout the year.
