Summer Field Day 2006

While not every varroa infestation
will follow a worse case scenario, a beekeeper needs to
be aware how quickly the situation can change. This underscores
the need for identification and careful monitoring in order
to make an informed decision about treatment. |

David Vander Dussen demonstrates
how to perform an alcohol wash during this years field day.
Powdered sugar and ether rolls are additional ways that
a beekeeper can get a varroa mite count. |
